The Bulova Story

In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to included what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.

Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, “America runs on Bulova time”. In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.

Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

The Interlocking timepiece has been designed in two sizes – a larger 37 mm model or a smaller 29 mm one. Dials are kept minimalist, displaying slim, tapered hands, the ‘Gucci’ logo at 12 o’clock and the ‘Swiss Made’ guarantee at 6 o’clock.

The Gucci Story
An iconic Italian fashion trendsetter, the House of Gucci – better known just as Gucci – is renowned for its tradition of luxury and constant quest and attention for style and quality. It was founded in 1920 by Guccio Gucci when he opened a leather goods company and small luggage store in his home at Florence, Italy. Within a few years, the Gucci label attracted a sophisticated international clientele who sought out its equestrian-inspired collection of bags, trunks, gloves, shoes, and belts. By the 1960s, Gucci products became icons when worn by such fashion icons as Jackie Kennedy (who carried a shoulder bag that today takes her name, Jackie O), Liz Taylor and Grace Kelly.

Artistically combining the elegance of Italian design with the precision of Swiss horological craftsmanship, every Gucci timepiece represents watchmaking at its finest. From inception to finish piece, Gucci demands a commitment of the highest standards, attention to detail and exacting quality control. Today’s Gucci watches are made of the most durable materials, while design is focused on modernity – tweaking classic watch styles with contemporary lines and flourishes in order to make a mark of this time for years to come.
